About The Certification Program
Our 2-Day Phlebotomy program provides all the experience that you need with hands on skills in order to succeed in the fast paced world of healthcare as a phlebotomist.
All students must demonstrate proficient phlebotomy skills and knowledge in order to take the national exam on the last day of class.
Our Program consists of the two parts Lecture and lab Lecture
- 5 hour lecture in class before the hand-on skills portion of the lab arm.
- 8 hour lecture in class before the hands-on skills portion for live draws
- Material is presented by a qualified instructor with 20 years of experience.
Phlebotomy Skills Lab
- Introduction to equipment and hands-on practice.
- Practical demonstration and instructor feedback.
- Student skill participation and guidance.

The Hands On Training /One On One Training / Group Training
Certification programs are tailored to every learning style and promotes retention of key concepts through Classroom instruction, and hands on training which will consist of theory providing the competencies required by the certification board for Certified Healthcare Professionals.
The program will also include mandatory lab (hands on) training, classroom lecture, group discussions and activities. In addition we will also cover anatomy, physiology of blood, equipment, lab processing, special specimen procurement, OSHA, CLIA regulations, centrifuging, capillary punctures etc. You will practice drawing blood on a training aid and then practice drawing blood on each other. All attendees will be required to perform live venipuncture’s on each other under the direction of the instructor and/or licensed phlebotomist instructor. If you cannot allow someone to draw blood on you this is not the program for you. Everyone is required to allow students to draw on them.

Live draws will be done in the class not during an internship. Fellow students and yourself, in a supervised setting. If you are not comfortable having someone draw your blood, this is not the class for you.
